Maintenance is key

This little fiesta came into us for the first time for an interim service, while pulling the vehicle on over the ramp we noticed the brake pedal had bit of unnecessary travel. When we pulled the drums off we found this issue luckily before anything happened.
One of the shoe retaining clips was missing causing the shoe not to sit correctly and also rub on the drum, should this have grabbed it could have resulted in the brake locking or the wheel cylinder piston to pop out resulting in nearly complete loss of braking.
A new set of shoes as there quite badly worn and a new fitting kit will see this right, luckily before anything bad happened.
